Risers?

Hi all,

Just getting use to my new (to me) '02 R1100S - I'm finding the riding position a bit prone for my older and fatter bod!

I've seen reference to lower pegs, but can you also get risers for the bars, to bring them up an inch or so - I think that would help me a lot?

Thanks - Paul.

You can also put the bars above the top yoke, this will give you about 35mm, did this to mine, did improve the riding position and cheaper. Only issue you may have is the brake lines maybe too short, but if you fit risers you will have to get new ones anyway, also fitted a peg lowering kit, about £90 from wunderlich, fitting involve a brake lever extension and bleeding the rear brake but fairly easy to do. Sadly didn’t fix my problems so I got a GS :D

Having fitted these in the past, the throttle cable can be a bit tight so I would keep an eye on that.

There are also ‘comfort handlebars’ which are angled up. Still available but over £300, ouch! I got a set from eBay for a lot less. About to fit them so I can’t comment further.
Each and every little bit helps, but I think Al has the answer as he said above. I just can’t bring myself to buy one.
