ABS Light Issue

Postby KeithW » Thu Jan 02, 2020 12:07 pm

Hi all, I have a question regarding the Abs light on my 1100s (2003).
Usually after starting up my abs light flashes at 4 flashes per second the general warning light goes off and after a short distance the Abs light goes off.
Went to go for a ride today and the warning light goes off but the abs light remains flashing at the same 4 per second with reduced braking. The battery is good and I have removed and cleaned both sensors but still have the same problem.
Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Hi all, Just an update to say that I have found the problem, the rear brake sensor contact plate was misaligned and not making proper contact, realigned and all good now.

Nice that it was an easy one and 'free'

Its always good when someone reports back after resolving a problem. I have certainly saved a small fortune from hints, tips and findings from forum members so thanks for the info.
