Fuel capacity

Can the S use all the fuel in the tank?, I'm trying to work out how far I can get once the light comes on. My old K100 had approx 1.5 litres that couldn't be used.

If you take the innards of the tank out the fuel pickup pipe doesn't go all the way to the bottom so I guess there would be a bit left if it ran 'dry'.

Cusi my man,

You can probably ride from one end of the island to the other on a full tank if you stick to the motorway
TTFN and enjoy the weather where ever you are!!

I ran out the other day. I couldn't see any in the tank, and when I filled up it took 18.5litres. So that's pretty much dry.

There was about 300ml of brown water in the bottom of my tank so prolly good that the collector doesn't reach the bottom. Even though the fuel level on each side equalises thro' the tubes at the back, I'm sure when running near empty there is in excess of half a litre of gas sitting idle in each front lobe that could be coaxed to the side of the fuel collector.

If one removes the fuel pump and has a gander inside all becomes clear.
