WW 2024 Concours d'Elegance

Postby Paul » Mon Apr 15, 2024 10:45 am

Good people of Boxertrix,

At the forthcoming 2024 Welsh Weekend, organised by Steve Parry of this parish, I will be offering prizes for the best turned out bikes in the following three categories:

1) Best presented R1100S
2) Best presented R1200S
3) Best of the rest, open to all bikes (and possibly MX5s) at the weekend

Points will be awarded for condition of the bikes, tasteful modifications and general visual appeal and performance.

Judging will take place at the Hand in the car park before we set off on the Saturday run, following which, winners will be announced and cups presented after dinner at the Hand on the Saturday evening.

Thanks and good luck to all!

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

OK folks,

Judging of the bikes will take place in the Hand Car park at 09:30 on Saturday morning. The three winners will be announced at the dinner on Saturday night at the Hand, and the winner's prize cups will be handed out.

If any of the winners are not staying for dinner, I can give them their cup after the ride when we return to the Hand.

Just to clarify, the cups are yours to keep and new cups will be produced for the next event, if this one proves to be popular.

Good luck, and may the best bikes win!

Dear Paul I’m really looking forward to this event and your excellent hosting, I’ve refitted the panniers just so I can bring the polishing kit, see you in the bar for copious quantities of alcohol consumption
