Home again. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend. Roll on Hawes :D
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

After our diversion via B Y Coed we got home at 5:30 a bit soggy and a bit sore, just short of 700 miles in the 3 days(phil, you were right the mid wales route was nadgery, and wet) but a great w/end for our first proper meet up, met some nice people and saw a lot of Wales in the sun. Thanks to Steve P and Boxered for the venue and the sightseeing trip on saturday.

Well tho I only turned up for the ride-out it was great to be able to put some faces to names and see some parts of North Wales I've never seen before. Any chance of posting a Google Earth link to the route we took please?

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Good to meet you Nick

This is just about it apart from heading to Cynwyd from Bala on the last bit.

Well that was another mega successful weekend over and done with, it was an absolute pleasure to lead the group over some great roads once again ( I've been getting away with it for 9 years straight now  )
its always nice to meet up with the regulars and great to welcome some new people into the fold.
Thanks for all the kind words re the route, it was a joint effort by Steve Parry and myself. I hope Steve (hinkly man) is ok :(

Right then, lets get Hawes booked :D

For a man that can get lost on his way to his own bathroom that 'Last Man Drop Off' method of route directing worked a treat. I've never ridden with a large group before so hadn't come across it previously. Great stuff! I 'clocked' 300+ miles on Saturday. Some of it was quite 'hectic'. Was my birthday on the previous Thursday. Didn't think I'd be doin this stuff in my eighth decade. Ain't life grand! Thanks to all concerned. Watch out tho, cos next year I'll be turnin up on me 'blade. Many, many thank to all who planned, organized and also arranged for some great weather too.
:)
