Race weekend

Postby GRAgusta » Wed Nov 02, 2016 2:25 pm

The MotoGP has become an annual event for Jenny and I, this year we decided to push the boat and take in a "fly away event" at Sepang.

We stayed at the KLIA airport hotel, Sama Sama Express, along with most of the riders, team managers, and Dorna it seems.

Jenny is chuffed, she spoke to Cal, Dovi, Jorge, and Brad Binder.

On Saturday night our waiter took us to a table beside a large one marked "reserved". Ducati sat at the reserved table, with Gigi Dall Igna right next to Jenny. Livio Suppo and HRC were behind us .... Cal came in to tell them all he'd broken a bone in his left hand, they all expressed concern and joked about it lightheartedly. Cal then expressed his hope to Ducati than Dovi would make it nine ....

We had paid for a pit walk ticket, unusually on Sunday the riders were in the garage, presumably discussing their weather tactics.

And then I was offered access to the service road, ie track side for the start of the Moto3 race, we were feet away when chaos broke at out turn 2.

It has been an epic weekend, apparently race weekend at Sama Sama Express is always the same .... if I can I'll be back if only to see once more Randy Mamola dancing on the table.

Here's some photies:
