Recent trip

Postby slparry » Wed Jun 29, 2022 1:10 pm

So a couple of weeks ago my mate, Paul Davies (WW tail end charlie) and I did a couple of days in Scotland taking in the Mull of Kintyre etc, then ferry over to Belfast from Stranraer to visit Joeys Bar and a couple of days around the Donegal section of the Wild Atlantic Way, stayed at a lovely hotel near Joeys Bar called the Bushtown Hotel.

Ferry back in to Wales from Dublin.

Bike and rider ferry from Stranraer to Belfast then Dublin to Holyhead was about £90, quick ride down the A5 through snowdonia to home

Just done part of the Wild Atlantic Way today. Crossed from Cairnryan to Belfast and stayed in a b&b on the north coast then done to Cavan 2nd night and headed out to the coast. Presently in a b&b in the middle of nowhere - beats work!!

It's great isn't it Dave.

I so want to go again but my regular riding buddy is committed to hols with his Mrs so probably not going to happen this year :(

I know I could go by myself but I prefer riding company

It is great Steve. For various reasons I’ve had to miss out on my regular jaunt into Europe and a mate had suggested this trip after being over here with his son earlier in the year. Quiet roads and the friendliness is unreal. Thoroughly recommend it

And Al ...... I'll give Tinder a miss :D

To be honest, I've decided to use some of the pennies I'm saving to recommission the K1 again :D
