Sorry
Talking b*llocks about bikes and racing as usual.

Came back past this place after spending a couple of hours gassing with Russell at North Oxford BMW to find a private house. Looks like a similar set up to Moto Adrenalin in Darlington and the prices are within 1 or 2% by the time you add the VAT to the price list.

Just seen the posts!

Sandbar Composites Ltd are the SOLE UK agents and distributors for the complete Ilmberger range of Carbon Fibre Components.

Yes, the office is in a private house, but the stock is elsewhere. If you had mentioned to Russell at N.O.G. where you were going, he might have been able to give you more info.

I do not want to use this forum as an advert, but if you don't make contact, you will never really know - will you?

No problem mate. Just pop some carbon fibre goodies in the post to young Gromit and myself, and we'll say no more about it.

Thanks for the offer, but I think that some might think that there was a touch of bribery and corruption.

Now we would not want that, now would we?

Met Mr Sandbar at the Popham Doo a couple of weeks ago nice geezer and he has an 1100s dripping with CF (how suprising).

So Mr Sandbar will you offer Trixters a discount by buying direct from you?

We would of course keep absoluteley stuum if any rip of b*st*rd dealers were to ask any questions.

All too true. I'm certain my 'thoughts', and those of others, could be overlooked with the right inducement....

Yeah - OK

I am certainly on board for some sort of offer or deal.

My first thoughts are that an overall discount is not appropriate beacause the forum is open to anybody. It is not the same thing as a club, although it is probably getting close.

How about some sort of 'Group Buy' on a specific product e.g. rear hugger.

If I know how many want them, I can work out the lowest feasible price!

You might want to make this a separate topic.

Nigel,
my initial respose is that an overall discount is a good thing for the people of this board because everyone is at different points with the evolution of their S. Therefore finding folks with the same demand/money is nigh on impossible.....anyone else have any thoughts ?

Sandbar,

Do you have a list showing what you currently sell and the UK retail prices? If you could post up an extract here in this thread, I guess we could advise you on what we'd be interested in setting a group buy up for.

Cheers,

Paul

You will have to forgive my ignorance about attaching anything to these posts. Yes of course I have a price list, but how to attach it - I do not know!

Lloyd has got the latest price list - perhaps he could get it onto the forum.

I understand his point about an overall discount, but at the end of the day a small discount off everything is hardly going to change anything. What I am thinking of is a Group Buy that will change peoples mind!

How about this? If you can get 10 of you to buy a rear hugger, I will do them for £97.87p. If you want it posted, then, with the VAT and overnight p&p it will total £122.50. At this price, I will have to make a small charge of £3.50 for using a credit card. (The credit card company take 2.8% + VAT!)

I will watch with interest.

Sample prices;

3 pce fairing kit 934.13
headlight panel 195.05
front mudguard 124.17
rear hugger 152.69
heel protectors 59.93
tank centre panel 151.58
indicator pods (pair) 166.85
single seat inc pad 661.53
number plate holder 113.99
starter cover 91.65
alternator cover 113.98

Plus postage I presume ??

It is for individual board members to decide if these prices are good enough to do a deal - the sole importer is not the only source of these items as we all know.
