Internet Virus

Postby minivin » Thu Mar 11, 2004 4:55 pm

Couldn't think of anywhere else but here..... so here goes:

New one on the block, you get an offensive email as follows:

Subject: why u send me this...
Attactments: Metrol.Zip Ologcoz.txt ATT00002txt

u shit...
why the hell u send this to me..
i am returning ur document..

And inside of the Zip file is a worm called W32.Yaha.P@mm.

So, if you get something like this, beware, it isn't an abusive person due to a virus coming from your computer to another one, it's another hoax to get you to open it!

yeah, however I do like some of their psychological approaches which makes you think "whats in this zip folder then....." and before you know it you've fallen into their trap ;) It's like a Psychologics degree student has been making them to get back at the system that has plumbers earning more than them

Why not get an anti virus product, they do come free but very limited, you just need to know the limitations..

I have Norton Utilities 2003 so no problem for me, however other people don't have this level of protection.

However, from what I hear through the system, Norton Uitilities is not as good as McAfee these days as Norton's have been a bit slack. So considering the price is about the same that's my 2p's worth :)
