Loctite

Postby Darth_1100S » Fri Mar 19, 2004 1:11 pm

Having tried everywhere to get the correct Loctite 270 for the forthcoming job on my pivot pins I drew a blank. Genuine Loctite is a pig to get hold of, most places who do stock it would only do a minimum £20 order.

Anyway, my mate (the one who said he could get it for me but couldn't!) sent me a link to these people - Orbital Fasteners. They're in Rickmansworth. Tel 01923 777777

I ordered a 10mm bottle of the stuff on Wednesday and it arrived this morning.... £7-63. Excellent service and the guy I spoke to on the 'phone was very helpful. Highly recommended

I must've missed that one B/D - bugger - (kicks himself up the arse) You won't believe the trouble I've had finding it. As I say my mate was going to get me some, they had everything but 270 or 2701 where he works.

Thanks for letting me know tho'....What other hard or impossible things to get do you sell at your place?

Cheers Dave 8)

Just read back over the final drive bearing thread, can't understand how I missed Boxerdogs' thread about the Loctite!

Could be an idea for an addition to the board maybe. A section where we can post anything usefull or relevent we are in a position to offer others.

Anyone want a guitar made....or repaired.....or customised....anybody.....no? OK, I'll get me coat then

Difficult to say waht other hard to find bits I sell, as a company we are engineers merchants and have over 22,000 different product lines.
Wish I could direct yiu to our web site but its a load of sheet.
I guess if anybody is stuc for something then just give me a call 01753 215097.
By the way I am not hawking for business, most things that I sell to my friends and associates are at cosy plus 10%.
