Rear Huggers

Postby Huw » Mon Apr 19, 2004 11:44 am

I know that, as an ignorant newbie, I'm taking a risk in posting on this site being as the average correspondant is a dyed-in-the wool, engine oil soaked fingernail, self servicing (????), Zen satisfied motorcycle mechanic but I'd like advice please? My '02 11SS has loads of bits that my "old '99 11S lacked but the latter had a rear hugger that kept the muck off!!! It was an ART hugger that attached simply with two screws below the shock and on the new bike (which is BEAUTIFUL!) there are no holes so I guess it should attach elsewhere - behind the calipers??
Which hugger, from whence, how much and how to attach?

Any help will be gratefully received and I promise to go back to the corner and read your wisdom in silence!

Pyramid(£100 or so)fixes to the caliper and does a splendid job of keeping the poo off ones bike.

The Limmburger does a slightly better job but at a correspondingly higher price.

You'll find the ILMBERGER :D at Cannons for £149.95 http://cannon-bmw.co.uk/cannon/htm/equipment.htm

Nicest looking hugger IMO
