Anything to be gained in a race by having a higher rpm with a boxer engine?
So much grunt low down, i tend to short shift most times and rarely explore the red line area. This is on the road i should add.
Best of luck getting it back on the track.
Hi Neil
Trick parts going in. Not really for any major power increase , but to reduce stress on the engine. Should also let the engine rev quicker.Modified oil pump for improved lubrication and cooling circuits.
Higher RPM limit may also allow you to hold onto a gear longer depending on gearing, so saving a gearshift which could cost you time. Also allows a little more room for rider/operator error
All the best
