Tyre pressures

Postby HarrisBikeNut » Mon Aug 07, 2017 7:19 pm

Gathering advice on tyre pressures to use with my 2003 BCR. Do people stick with the handbook figures or use different pressures? Bike is road use only (currently!)

As Dave says, 42R/36F unless the tyre manufacturer recommends otherwise.

If your using Michelin Pilot Road series there is a school of thought to increase the front pressure's by a couple of pound or 3 over the 36psi to help combat the feathering effect . Otherwise as Dave says 36 f 42 r seems to be best

I thought solo riding was 32F and 36R. The higher pressures are for 2-up riding.

That is the official line but most here use the 2 up pressures even when solo and seem to prefer them
