BATTERY CHANGE AND ITS FAST!

Postby Hay Ewe^ » Wed Oct 11, 2017 12:01 pm

My S bike has been parked for a while and the battery went flat.
I didn't put the effort in to changing it and was quite happy to carry on riding my 1150GS.
I need to do some service maintenance on the GS and as moto's are my primary transport, I needed the S bike.

What a drama to change the battery!
the two side panels, yeah ok, I can handle that.
Right side tank bolt, yep, just like the GS
Tank still wont move, mmmmm, bolt on the left side, except cant get to that as the intake duct is in the way!
two screws to remove the inlet duct attachment cover, then can get to the tank, to lift it far enough out of the way.

Anyway, most of you all know that and no, I didnt clean or polish that tank!
Deffo a case of installing some sealing quick disconnects on the fuel lines and breathers would make it simpler for sure.

After dinner and the dishes went out for a turn.

Its fast!
I had forgotton how fast it accelerates to the speed limit!
also the speedo on my GS doesnt work so that may make a difference.

Deffo thinking about installing some of Lennies sprockets - great on my GS, am sure they would be great on the S bike as well.
