After making a higher mount for the Garmin V ON MY '16 RS, I was having problems with glare on the screen. I bought this little hood for about £7 on Ebay and it works a treat at curing the problem. The fit is very good.

Nice solution. I have the Wunderlich equivalent, which doesn't attach quite as securely to the sat nav as I would like... I might try and search out the supplier of yours.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Ah Paul!!! On my last European jaunt, I was following one of the group with an RS and his shade blew off - he didn't know about it and was most surprised when I returned it at a fuel stop (cost a bit of time stopping etc but was fun catching up!!!). You may have saved me some money as I was going to buy the Wunderlich hood. Merci beaucoup (let me know if you find the supplier - mines a Nav VI) Danke

The hood was sold by a company called 'digicharge' on Ebay for £7.95. When I looked, the Wunderlich one was over x3 that price.

I tried the hood out today on a lap of Mid Wales. It didn't budge, even when I caught up with a playful Speed Triple and an Tuono, and had to engage Warp

Must say it does look a good item especially for the money, unfortunately for me I now need distance glasses as well as reading so have had to pair the nav to my helmet comms, the good thing about that is I hardly have to look at it now

Yes - another shout out for the varifocals.

Anyone got an Ebay sun hood recommendation which will fit my Zumo 660?
