When I had my incidnet, I was SO lucky that issurance didnt write it off I feel.
local dealer repalced so much that I considered fair wear and tear, the cost was really high.
I only wanted a new set of panniers that I am working on selling.

Your insurance assessor may look at everything and consider to repair / replace it all will be too much
As said above, if thats all teh damage, seems like a simple DIY job to me

but I dont understand fully, you say cracked cylidner head and rocker cover - can you post some pictures up?

Roll yourself a big fatty Boy, take a big drag and ponder how lucky you are that, that may be the worse thing to happen to you in your lifetime!! either way it ain`t worth stressing over, not that you are, me? try fixing it myself.

Pleased you did not suffer harm.

Waiting for insurance to come out to give final review! Fellow on phone said bike is probably a writeoff! as its a 20yr old bike and they have no book value on it! Theres no other marks on it
everything on the bike works as it should!

Unfortunately that is what most insurance assessors do if they haven't got a book value, depending on your insurance company you may be asked if you want to buy the bike from them
Could make a nice project

Similar to my accident in 2013. Woman turned right straight into my side. Result written off - the rear wheel to silencer gap reduced from 2cm to 2 mm suggesting bent rear sub frame - alo forks damaged and every fairing panel (this was on a R1200ST). Also I got cit lip gashed leg and fractured vetribrae.

After a lot or argument I had the records amended to show that I was not at fault and the claim was settled in court all in my favour not 60/40 as AVIVA had originally said it would be settled.

When this all washed out I also got £120 back from my new insurers who had rated me because of the 60/40 thing.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity
