Returning here and hoping to make more of an effort this time...!

Postby fatroy » Mon Nov 26, 2018 6:28 pm

Hello,
not really new here but I didn't post much before, so am having another go... sorry :(

I did buy a lovely black W reg R1100S off here in 2010 which got nicked whilst parked up in Brighton at the end of May this year...

so now I am waiting for its replacement to be delivered to me tomorrow... another black one.
not seen it in the flesh, though because it was waaay up north and I'm not, so hopefully it'll be ok when it arrives.

I hope to look after this one even more than the previous one - and obviously I'm going to have to use even more security whenever I park it up.

Here's my old one:

thanks Al, yeah am wondering about trackers and stuff like that, but for a sub £2k bike it could be overkill...

Welcome back, its not the value of the bike in cash, more its value to you and the satisfaction of recovering it if the worst happens. Monitored tracker on mine but some good GPS based trackers around for £150 ,Monimoto UK is an example.

Hi Humbug, thanks - the Monimoto appears to be just the thing I need (and could have done with in May...)
I'll keep looking but will get something as soon as poss.

It's arrived and it's great!
got delivered to me at work and I had to ride it home in the rain over the misty south downs.
There's a few bits n bobs I will need to sort out with it, but that's all part of the fun isn't it!!!

Very smart [smilie=biker.gif]
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

I like the black one best of all the solid colours. Hope it is as good as your ex.
