Engine oil into the telelever ?

Postby Mr Charrington » Mon May 13, 2019 4:35 pm

Just a quick one please.
Instead of the fork oil <10w> that is needed for the lubing inside the telelever forks
can i just put 170 ml of 10w40 engine oil ?
Will it damage the plastic tube inside the fork ?
Thanks

Go and buy a bottle of ATF , auto transmission fluid

The engine oil is thick and slow to compress and react, your bike wont feel good , like rigid forks on some of the chopper bikes .

I had a bottle of 10w/40 just seating there and i was wondering what if..
The problem was the distance from where i live to the nearest oil store.
I finally got some fork oil 15w
