Hi - From West Sussex

Postby Sharky » Fri Aug 09, 2019 3:33 pm

Hi All
Purchased my 1st R12S, in fact my ever 1st BMW and 1st road bike in about 12 years.

Spent a few years racing at various levels over the years and after a break i fancied an R12S, always loved the look of them. now just to make it a bit more special and personal (it wasn't the prettiest when i bought it so i'm not ruining a minter)

expect lots of questions on what works and what doesn't

Cheers all

Craig

welcome. Aesthetically, change the rear indicators for the later GS LED indicators and an R & G tail tidy - needs a little wiring mod but not difficult - fit front LED bulbs as well and clear front lenses

Don't bother with Dave's led lights changes :D - just save up and get an Ohlins (or other top quality shocks) front and rear
Get them set up properly and ride around any one else on the road or trackday with the superb telelever front end.
Best bang for your £buck there is.
Lights and bling can follow later on.
Just my two pence worth.
