Re: Hi again

Morning I've been and come back. The weather was truly wet, wet, wet. We scaled back going to Holland and Luxembourg sadly due to that. Belgium, however was delightful. Very pretty towards the south in The Ardennes. The roads/riding was great. We rented a 'Gite' in a tiny village about an hour sout...

Nav 6 notification

As many know Nav 6's can be troublesome with ghosting on the touchscreen, i.e. it occasionally acts like a ghost is operating it and swaps screens etc. There are various reported fixes, only one I've found that partially helps it to regularly clean the screen. However, during my recent Scottish trip...

R80 Mono ...

I've not been able to MoT my R80 RS Mono this year due to it developing a problem, the headlight works fine but the sidelight and tail light have steadfastly refused to work. Yesterday I resolved to track down why. After ages I finally discovered a part I'd previously flagged as good had problems. N...

Hi Reg

This guy

https://rgm-uk.com/history/

will come and collect your bike and service it etc .

He's one of the few I'd trust to do the job as he's an "old school" BMW tech

Re: BMW club ... oops :D

a police car locally ploughed head on into a cow down a lane on night, the bobbies were rushing to the report of a cow loose in the lane. Resulting in a written off police car and an animal that had to be put to sleep. I questioned the decision making process of the police driver, and was having a d...

Motoscan

A few years ago I bought a used alarm for my F800GS from a guy on the F800 forum who hated alarms and took his off his bike. All worked as intended, could arm from the fob, or from turning the ignition off after 30 seconds or so. Arming beeped and flashed the indicators. The only tiny tiny irritatio...

Re: R1200S DOHC Project

Had my first Sunday ride yesterday, finally, cracking ride if a little short, over to Pateley Bridge. Bike pulls like a train, a little flat spot just before 6k which is a little annoying. Just something else to figure out… hoping to get a dyno run in the next couple of weeks to see how it compares...

Re: Tumbleweed..,

Given the 13GS is 145hp, I reckon some ECU tweaking could get a 13S to at least an easy 150 plus HP which would make an awesome real world sports bike...
