Re: diagnostic tool gs-911

I've just bought a GS911 wifi and getting it to communicate with the wifi in my workshop is proving to be a nightmare. I can retrieve data using it as a Hotspot for my iPhone, but the service functionality is still not available on it. Any tips on set up via wifi to an ipad would be appreciated. Tha...

Re: Battery

Yep, I've put a Shorai on my Ducati to prevent any damage to the sprag clutch on the starter motor (if it kicks back, they can strip). However, Lithium batteries need treating differently to Lead Acid types, and give a useful boost in cranking Amps, despite this, I think making some thicker battery ...

Re: Salesmen who can't sell!

The reason I was thinking about an Indian FTR was my wife has a 695 Ducati Monster and finds it a bit lacking in grunt. She hardly rides bikes these days, and is most commonly found on her horses, and it seems a bit pointless keeping her bike Taxed, Insured etc. My thinking was, she could have a bik...

Re: Salesmen who can't sell!

I quite liked the look of the XR1200 too. However, I carried out a service on one for a mate who lived a few miles away from me. After doing the work (which took longer than expected thanks to my local HD Dealer selling him the wrong plugs - especially after I had been privy to an internal email say...

Salesmen who can't sell!

Last evening I visited an Indian Dealer in Staffordshire with a view to putting a deposit on the new FTR Race Rep, which will be available in the Spring. After interviewing several members of Staff, it became clear that they weren't marque enthusiasts and following my research on the bike, their pro...

Re: Cyclists

They seem happy to ride two abreast and hold up traffic. Total wnakers. I feel sick in my mouth when I see an old sweaty ass hole clad in lycra. They are disgusting. Totally agree with all the negatives re mamils , however a nice pert female booty clad in lycra is a different kettle of fish . :) Ab...

Re: TT, are the riders gladiators or canon fodder?

My mate Paul Owen has been hit so hard by the loss of so many good friends on road circuits recently, that after this years Manx, he has decided to retire. I think the loss of Bud, who was a great character in the paddock, was the final straw. After a visit to Dobbsy's grave, Paul said 'It's time to...

Re: Who changes their own tyres?

Sorry about the delay in replying, but the tyre bar that I use is called an 'Alloy Mate' (check them out on Google) It's easy to use for stripping and refitting bike tyres, and impossible to scratch your rims. Buying a bucket of correct tyre soap (It'll last a lifetime) is also a good idea.

Left hand switch gear loose on R12rs

I've recently read on another Forum that this problem isn't unheard of. I nearly 5k miles it's the only minor niggle I've encountered. To cure it, pull back the lip on the rubber grip adjacent to the GPS toggle wheel and you'll see a small locating screw with a T15 head. Just retighten this (mine ha...

Re: Camera Van

I recently read on the 'net (so it must be true  ) that vehicles maintained in Crown workshops, don't require an MOT. No idea if this is the case or not?
